Concerns and controversies over the 2008 summer Olympics

Question 1:Name one controversy that happen during the Beijing Olympics which you feel strongly about and explain why you have chosen it.

The controversy is "The gymnastics competition caused a major world wide controversy during and after the games when some Chinese gymnasts were accused of being under a minimum age, but then cleared after an investigation."
Chinese gymnasts who were under the illegal age for the Olympics should be disqualified from the competition as it is cheating. So the next time when they take part in such competitions that has age limits the organizers should check the competitor's identification card to ensure that are they qualified for the competition.

Question 2: If such a big event were to take place in your country, would you. as an organizer, ever do something like that? Why or why not?

I won’t do such mistake as this is a world event holding in Singapore which is a small country. Firstly Singapore is a small country and if such a great event like the Olympics is going to take place we should get things the year before the event begins. The participants information should be found out weather they are eligible for
the competition.
